Sound Experiments

A collaboration to explore the ceramic vessel as a holding space for sound, with Composer and Sound Designer Paul Freeman.

Anna created a group of clay bowls that would be instruments in the simplest sense, inspired by the harmonic series.

Using different methods to play the bowls – including beaters, brushes, and a bow, Paul created a layered soundscape by sampling the sounds that were generated in front of a live audience at One Paved Court gallery in late 2019.
